911 Celebrates 30 Years in Malaysia

1st October 2024 & 3rd October 2024 – The legendary British boy band, 911, marked their 30-year anniversary with two unforgettable concerts in Malaysia. Presented by Deromp Marketing, in collaboration with C&C Group of Companies and Chua Song Seng Group of Companies, the concerts were the results of months of preparation and hard work.

On 1st October 2024, the Kota Kinabalu concert took place at Hakka Hall, where fans in Sabah eagerly gathered for a nostalgic night. Two days later, 911 brought their infectious energy to Zepp Kuala Lumpur. Jimmy Constable, Lee Brennan, and Spike Dawbarn performed with the same energy and charisma that shot them to fame 30 years ago, delivering hip hop choreography that became their signature.

To honour the invaluable support of our sponsors, we organised two exclusive sponsor dinners. At Hilton Kota Kinabalu on September 30th and another at Madam Kwan’s, Pavilion Damansara Heights on October 2nd, these intimate gatherings provided sponsors with the opportunity to meet the band and network with other industry leaders. Tokens of appreciation were presented by key figures from Deromp Marketing, Aforadio, and C&C to sponsors, including the Sabah Tourism Board and LaLaport, recognising their contributions to the concerts’ success.

Meticulous coordination with the band’s management ensured smooth travel arrangements, while necessary permits were secured from local authorities such as Persembahan Artis Luar Negara (PUSPAL) and Jabatan Sukarelawan Malaysia (RELA) to guarantee the fans’ safety.

We also secured sponsorships with prominent brands like Spritzer, M Resort Hotel, Fortier Wines & Spirits, HiveTown, VANZO, Spectrum Outdoor Marketing, Sabahnites, Print Global, and more, and successfully collaborated on a meet-and-greet event at LaLaport. Our official ticketing partner, Qtic’s user-friendly system and reputation for managing high-demand events ensured smooth ticket purchasing for fans.

The concerts attracted around 1,000 fans in each venue.

C&C’s experience in co-organising this concert and handling its printing materials will serve as a strong foundation for many more concerts to come.
