18 January 2024 – The grand final of Mrs & Miss Plus World Malaysia 2023/24 was held at Galaxy Banquet Hall, marking the fourth official MPWM event held in Malaysia. Contestants vied for the opportunity to represent Malaysia at the international pageant, Miss Plus World 2024, set to be hosted in the USA later this year.
Distinguished guests graced the event, including prominent figures such as Yang Mulia Tengku Dato’ Dr. Hishammuddin Zaizi bin Y.A.M Tengku Bendahara Azman Shah, Yang Mulia Raja Omar Bin Raja Abdullah Omar, Duli Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Soraya binti Almarhum Tengku Abdul Aziz, and Yang Mulia Dr. Raja Putra Shah. Also present were esteemed individuals like Dr. Sam Kuan, CEO of Atelier Clinic, and Puan Sri Datin Sri Ela Tan, Co-founder of Phytoscience.
In the Miss category, Yvonne Chong from Kuala Lumpur won the coveted title of Miss Plus World Malaysia 2024, alongside the subsidiary title of Miss Beautiful Skin 2024. Alice Francis and Heng Kai Sin secured the 1st and 2nd runner-up positions, with Alice also claiming the title of Miss Best Talent and Heng Kai awarded Miss Photogenic. Selvi Krishnan and Rahila Abdul Rahim emerged as the 3rd and 4th runners-up in the Mrs category, each earning accolades for Best Catwalk and Popularity, respectively.
In the Mrs category, Zainoriah Binti Din earned the prestigious title of Mrs Plus Intercontinental Malaysia 2024, along with the subsidiary title of Mrs Gorgeous 2024. Jenny Tey and Rosy anak Tian Lin secured the positions of 1st and 2nd runners-up, while Christine Liew and Sammie Ong were recognized as the 3rd and 4th runners-up, with subsidiary titles of Miss Beautiful Smile 2024 and Miss Elegant 2024, respectively.
Noreeny Manggie was also crowned Miss Plus World Malaysia 2024 All-Nation Ambassador, while Elena Tong received the Humanitarian Ambassador title in recognition of her exceptional dedication to the platform.
Ziinine Britshi, the National Director of MPWM, shared in his opening speech that MPWM has established itself as the number one beauty pageant for plus-size women and models nationwide since its establishment in Malaysia in 2020.
